At Erskine & Erskine, dedication to our community is just one of the many ways we remain committed to the city and region we’ve called home since our founding in 1876. In sponsoring local charities and events, including our continued support of the Katharine F. Erskine award at the YWCA, Erskin & Erskine continues to have a stake in the development of the community. Focus on creating a strong connection with the neighborhood may not have direct relationship with Estate and Succession planning, Erskine & Erskine’s long history within Worcester is a relationship that is held in high regard by Matthew Erskine who, through his work, continues to promote community endeavors.

One such program was the Kittredge Foundation, a numismatic foundation designed to spread the joy and interest of coin collecting through community involvement. Matthew, the company’s owner, also takes community stewardship beyond the confines of the office. Serving as a member of a number of prestigious groups like the Worcester Economic Club and the American Antiquarian Society.

The Katharine F. Erskine Award

Given annually to women of the YWCA who carry on the traditions of the YWCA in eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all, the Katharine F. Erskine Award is indicative of the involvement and community investment owed to the wonderful community we call home. Carrying on the legacy of Katharine Maria Forbes Erskine, a graduate of Vassar and Wellesley and charter member of the League of Women Voters, the award is a testament to Katharine’s character and resolve – qualities we hope to evoke in our day-to-day operation.
